RAAC was discovered at the school, causing the closure of two school blocks at very short notice. PCH Associates were engaged to design, specify and tender the remediation work to enable the school to re-occupy the blocks and to manage the project through to completion.

PCH Associates worked with a structural engineering consultancy to survey and plot the extent of the RAAC throughout the school blocks and to coordinate design work. Tenders were issued to principal contractors, and PCH Associates carried out contract administration duties throughout the construction phase. We worked closely with the school and the DfE, carrying out regular project monitoring and meetings throughout the project. The project was successfully delivered, and the school was able to re-occupy the school blocks within the agreed project programme.
