Capital Funding Support

Capital Funding Support SERVICE

Turning estate need into secured funding and delivered projects

Capital funding is often essential to addressing estate risk, improving suitability and meeting compliance and sustainability requirements. However, securing funding and delivering projects successfully can be complex, time-consuming and high-risk, particularly for organisations with limited internal capacity or expertise.

PCH Associates supports clients throughout the funding lifecycle, from shaping robust bids through to delivery on site.

Our approach is grounded in strategic planning, strong technical evidence and careful project management, helping clients secure investment, avoid disruption and protect themselves from financial and contractual risk.

SERVICE BREAKDOWN

A strategic, end-to-end approach to capital funding

We support clients at every stage of the funding and delivery process, reducing pressure on internal teams and ensuring projects are well managed from start to finish.

Strategic funding
advice

We identify the most appropriate funding routes based on estate need, organisational priorities and eligibility, ensuring bids are aligned with wider strategy and policy objectives.

Robust funding
submissions

We prepare clear, well-evidenced applications that balance technical solutions, value for money and policy outcomes, giving funding bodies confidence in both the proposal and its deliverability.

Programme and risk
management

We manage timescales, risks and dependencies throughout the process, helping clients avoid delays, disruption and cost escalation.

Delivery and contract administration

Once funding is secured, we remain closely involved in project delivery, providing robust contract administration and project management to protect clients from claims, variations and avoidable disputes.

Reduced client
workload

We liaise directly with funders, contractors and stakeholders wherever possible, reducing the burden on already stretched leadership teams.

SERVICE DETAILS

Our capital funding support is typically delivered alongside an Estate Strategy, ensuring investment is targeted at the areas of greatest need and risk.

However, we also support organisations at later stages where funding opportunities arise or urgent issues need to be addressed. In many cases, funding has been co-ordinated as part of wider site development, including estate rationalisation, expansion and the creation of new sports hubs.

We also support organisations with land disposal applications and the process of securing consent from the Secretary of State, helping to avoid delays caused by incomplete information.

We have extensive experience across a wide range of education, public sector and sports funding streams, including:

  • School Rebuilding Programme (SRP)
  • School Condition Allocations (SCA) for dioceses and Multi-Academy Trusts
  • Condition Improvement Fund (CIF)
  • Basic Need and High Needs Provision capital funding
  • School Based Nursery Capital Grants
  • Post-16 Capacity Fund and T-Level Capital Fund
  • Public Sector Decarbonisation and low-carbon funding programmes
  • Football Foundation and Sport England grants
